Practical Test Changes

From the 4th October, the DSA plans to introduce an independent driving sector (Lasting 10 mins), into the practical driving test. Candidates will be asked to do either
i) Drive to a destination following staffic signs or
ii) draive following a series of verbal directions.
This will allow candidates to demonstrate how they will drive on their own, when there is no-one in the car to prompt them

Practical Test Changes
1st April 2010
On April 6th 2010 the DSA Examiners will ask all driving test candidates if they would like their instructor to sit in on their test and listern to the bebrief at the end of the driving test.

On 1st July 2008 the revised "Show me, Tell me" questions will be used. Now there are 19 questions from which 2 will be chosen by the examiner on your Driving Test day
Theory Test Changes
25th August 2007
From 3rd September 2007 - There are changes to the duration and pass rates on the theory test papers. Fifty questions instead of the current thirty five. The pass mark will increase from thirty to forty three correct answers. The emphasis of these extra questions will be on driver attitude, road awareness, speed and your effect on other drivers.
